Welcome to Colonial Terraces
"The Garden Spot of Newburgh"

Colonial Terraces (est. 1918-19) is a planned community located in the west end of the city of Newburgh, N.Y.. It is a charming neighborhood graced by handsome brick and quaint white shingled homes.

Designed be the housing and community planning pioneer Henry Wright (1878-1936), it was one of the several defense housing projects he worked on for the federal government during World War I era, in the case to provide homes for workers employed at the busy Newburgh Shipyards.

Starting in the twenties the houses were sold to individual private owners.
